Al Kharj, also known locally as Al Saih, is a city in Al Kharj Governorate in central Saudi Arabia. Al Kharj is 77 km south of Riyadh.
It is connected by rail to both Riyadh and Dammam. The city's main landmarks include the historical water wells, and King Abdulaziz Palace and Mosque.
Under the leadership of King Abdulaziz, who first took the initiative for the production of milk in the kingdom, an experimental farm was established at Al-Kharj in 1938.
Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) was formerly known as Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz University or the University of Al-Kharj . It is a Saudi University located in the city of Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education Saudi Arabia and managed by the Rector of the University, Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hamed.
PSAU main campus is located in Al Kharj. Other campuses are located on Wadi Addawasir, Hotat Bani Tamim, Aflaj, and Slayel.
